Archeological treasures and natural beauty on one small island

Wander mysterious Easter Island

The Gods of Easter Island

Easter Island, the mysterious outpost halfway between South America and the Polynesian Islands, remains a journey for the truly adventurous. Hanns Ebensten Travel took the first organized group to this remote site in 1967, and continues to offer the only gay tour to an island few people have ever seen. The enigma of the island is focused on the giant and impressive statues known as moai. These stone figures some as tall as thirty feet date from the 9th century and still confound people as to their presence on an island only fifteen miles long and thousands of miles away from it closest neighbor.

We travel to Easter Island via Tahiti and spend three days exploring the archeological sites, visiting cultural spots of interest, and enjoying the stunning landscape. We meet many of very friendly locals with opportunities to hike, horseback ride or wander the beaches. Trips are often offered over traditional Easter Sunday offering the chance to participate in a very special service. Our gay Easter Island welcomes the truly curious and adventuresome.
