Biking through the dramatic landscapes of Iceland

Iceland is a land of contrasts. This biking adventure in the South Highlands takes us through lush wilderness, to a spectacular multi-tiered waterfall -- and also to lava fields that seem to belong on the moon.

We'll stop at the remains of an ancient Viking farm, where all those blond genes got their start, then stand atop a yawning fissure that marks the geologic boundary between America and Europe. There's also time to enjoy the lively capital of Reykjavik: its naturally-heated outdoor pools by day, and a laid-back and gay-friendly nightlife.
